Actually, would rather have [~rbranson] review it, since it's his pony, and
we've written the previous node-picking implementation together.
Also, should probably target 2.1, at this point (the patch should still apply).
[~rbranson] assigning you to review. Assign back to me if you don't have time
to review or something.
