pankaj mishra commented on CASSANDRA-7311:
------------------------------------------

Please kindly tell me why would anyone want to set incremental backup from yaml
if he can set it via keyspace by altering keyspace definition.
Moreover, please tell me why we should keep both incremental backup option from
yaml and keyspace def option while we can achieve all flexibility from def
option only.

Or is there could be a requirement that on one machine of cluster one would
want incremental backup on and for the rest of the machine off. Only then yaml
will be helpful.

> Currently incremental backups are globally defined, however this is not
> always appropriate or required for all keyspaces in a cluster.
> As this is quite expensive, it would be preferred to either specify the
> keyspaces that need this (or exclude the ones that don't).
