The python driver was upgraded to v2.1 as part of CASSANDRA-7509. This has
changed it's auth_provider implementation meaning that cqlsh no longer connects
if PasswordAuthenticator is configured and instead returns:
{noformat}
TypeError: auth_provider must implement the cassandra.auth.AuthProvider
interface when protocol_version >= 2
