CAY-2993 is just a symptom of still inconsistent handling of relative/absolute
paths calculation in the cgen config. Let's do returned values more robust, two
methods returning {{Optional<Path> getPath()}} and {{requirePath()}} methods
that just throws. Leaving checks inside config and not on the callers side.
