weizhouapache opened a new issue, #6849: URL: https://github.com/apache/cloudstack/issues/6849
CloudStack uses haproxy in VR to implement the load balancer feature. If there are any load balancer changes (add/remove VMs, add/remove rules, etc), the haproxy configuration will be regenerated and haproxy service in VR will be reloaded. We've found an issue that counters are reset to 0 after haproxy reload, which is incorrect because the existing connections are remain alive. Before haproxy reload: After haproxy reload: An issue has been created in haproxy community: https://discourse.haproxy.org/t/stats-are-reset-to-0-after-haproxy-reload/8051 Users who monitor the load balancer connections, please pay attention to it. ##### ISSUE TYPE <!-- Pick one below and delete the rest --> * Bug Report ##### COMPONENT NAME <!-- Categorize the issue, e.g. API, VR, VPN, UI, etc. --> ~~~ VR ~~~ ##### CLOUDSTACK VERSION <!-- New line separated list of affected versions, commit ID for issues on main branch. --> ~~~ 4.17 4.18 ~~~ ##### CONFIGURATION <!-- Information about the configuration if relevant, e.g. basic network, advanced networking, etc. N/A otherwise --> Advanced network load balancer ##### OS / ENVIRONMENT <!-- Information about the environment if relevant, N/A otherwise --> ##### SUMMARY <!-- Explain the problem/feature briefly --> ##### STEPS TO REPRODUCE <!-- For bugs, show exactly how to reproduce the problem, using a minimal test-case.
