@nvazquez my understanding is that expected behaviour for KVM is hostname is not same as VM Name. I think that is only for VMWare? Or may be I am misunderstanding the https://cloudstack.apache.org/api/apidocs-4.14/apis/importUnmanagedInstance.html (`the host name of the instance`) as the host's name on which the VM exist.
