Thanks for your offer to help. As Java Client (Classifier) was recently
refactored a bit, especially pulling out the console into a separate module
(similar to .NET clients) the diff may not work (although Pattern.java itself
was not changed then
Another more severe reason is, the overall SVN layout was changed with a
1.0/2.0 split (though the correct term should have been XML vs. JSON but let's
leave that for now;-) ) so
>a/devicemap/java/classifier/src/main/java/org/apache/devicemap/data/Pattern.java
won't work with the new structure.
If you're able to check out the latest Java Client 1.x and try this by hand,
please feel free to attach a new DIFF file similar to Volkan's.
Either he or other committers may apply it then.
Should you be interested and able to contribute more in that way, you could
become a committer to this or other Apache projects.
Filing JIRA issues, writing to the mailing list (see
http://devicemap.apache.org/mailing-lists.html if you haven't already seen or
subscribed to one) and attaching patches to selected issues is the first step
to get recognized and considered a committer (plus you'll have to sign the
Apache Contributor Agreement once you'd be in the position to be a committer)
