I’d like to investigate this issue. From the stack trace, it appears that Doris accepts an incompatible type mapping during Kafka–Flink ingestion and later fails with a Bad cast in the vectorized column conversion. I plan to trace where external types are mapped to Doris PrimitiveType and check whether additional validation or safer conversion should be added to fail earlier with a clearer error.
