hello-stephen opened a new pull request, #4197: URL: https://github.com/apache/doris-website/pull/4197
## What - Deploy immediately after a push to `master`. - Reduce the scheduled fallback from every two hours to once per day at 01:00 UTC. - Keep the daily run so dynamic data such as the GitHub star count is refreshed even when the repository SHA is unchanged. - Update the README deployment table to match the actual trigger policy. ## Why The ASF GitHub Actions dashboard attributed 14.84% of the Doris project usage in the last seven days to `Cron Deploy`: about 2,536 runner minutes (42.3 hours). During the latest seven-day window, this workflow created 83 scheduled runs while `master` received 8 commits. Most runs therefore rebuilt and redeployed an unchanged site. A SHA-only skip is not appropriate because the build also refreshes dynamic data through `scripts/update_github_info.js`. With push deployment plus one daily fallback, the same window would have needed roughly 15 runs instead of 83, reducing this workflow fan-out by about 82% while making content changes visible sooner. ## Safety - Push deployment is limited to the protected `master` branch. - Pull requests do not receive deployment permissions or production secrets. - The existing concurrency group continues to serialize push and scheduled deployments. - Upload retry, OSS endpoint, permissions, checkout depth, and deployment behavior are unchanged. ## Validation - `git diff --check` - YAML parse succeeded. - `actionlint` reports the same pre-existing warnings as `master` and no new findings from this change. ## Self-review - Goal: reduce redundant runner usage without delaying site updates. The triggers directly implement that policy. - Scope: limited to the workflow trigger/comment and its README entry. - Documentation structure, routes, localized content, UI, and build scripts are unaffected. - No additional correctness, usability, accessibility, SEO, or maintainability issue was found in the changed scope. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
