### What problem does this feature solve? Fixed split area for time series. Although we can set the fixed interval to one year for time series, the starting point for each year is not fixed, so the split area shifts underneath the data as the series is zoomed. If the interval is one year, fixing the split to 1st of January will prevent the split area from changing as the series is zoomed. ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/470626/95597895-24208980-0a47-11eb-83b4-3c9f81ceb853.png) Zooming the series by decreasing the range pushes the circled data further away from the split area; the split area is not locked to the data, it slips underneath, which looks weird and inconsistent if one expects the splits to be tied to the data. ![image](https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/470626/95598062-5fbb5380-0a47-11eb-942f-95c238bcdd90.png) ### What does the proposed API look like?
