Part of the Spark 4.2 unit-test enablement (GLUTEN-12569, PR apache/gluten#13163). This issue tracks **re-enabling** one root-cause group of UTs that are currently **disabled** to keep the `gluten-ut/spark42` CI green. ### Root cause Spark 4.2 framework/API changes breaking Gluten tests (non-velox) ### How it's disabled Mixed: `.exclude(...)` in `gluten-ut/spark42/src/test/scala/org/apache/gluten/utils/velox/VeloxTestSettings.scala` (GlutenResolveDefaultColumnsSuite, GlutenDataFrameSuite, GlutenSessionExtensionSuite); class-level `@org.scalatest.Ignore` on `backends-velox/src/test/scala/org/apache/gluten/sql/GlutenBloomFilterFallbackSuite.scala` and `backends-velox/src/test/scala/org/apache/gluten/execution/MiscOperatorSuite.scala` (whole-suite aborts) and `gluten-ut/spark42/src/test/scala/org/apache/spark/sql/execution/GlutenWholeStageCodegenSuite.scala`; `test(...)->ignore(...)` in `gluten-substrait/src/test/scala/org/apache/spark/sql/execution/GlutenAutoAdjustStageResourceProfileSuite.scala`. FunctionRegistry 3-part-id aborts and the ExpressionConverter StackOverflow abort the whole CI group, so those suites are @Ignore'd wholesale; the rest use `.exclude`/`ignore`. ### Files updated - `gluten-ut/spark42/src/test/scala/org/apache/gluten/utils/velox/VeloxTestSettings.scala` - `backends-velox/src/test/scala/org/apache/gluten/sql/GlutenBloomFilterFallbackSuite.scala` - `backends-velox/src/test/scala/org/apache/gluten/execution/MiscOperatorSuite.scala` - `gluten-ut/spark42/src/test/scala/org/apache/spark/sql/execution/GlutenWholeStageCodegenSuite.scala` - `gluten-substrait/src/test/scala/org/apache/spark/sql/execution/GlutenAutoAdjustStageResourceProfileSuite.scala` ### Disabled tests (7) - `GlutenResolveDefaultColumnsSuite` :: SPARK-57187: non-foldable default exceeding CHAR/VARCHAR length fails at INSERT time (explicit DEFAULT keyword) - `GlutenDataFrameSuite` :: SPARK-57725: resolve columns when the input plan has a null-named attribute - `GlutenBloomFilterFallbackSuite` :: <whole suite @Ignore> - `MiscOperatorSuite` :: <whole suite @Ignore> - `GlutenSessionExtensionSuite` :: Gluten - test gluten extensions - `GlutenWholeStageCodegenSuite` :: <whole suite @Ignore> - `GlutenAutoAdjustStageResourceProfileSuite` :: updateResourceSetting rejects a non-positive task cpus ### How to re-enable Implement the underlying Gluten/Velox support, then remove the corresponding `.exclude(...)` / allowlist / `@Ignore` / `ignore(...)` entries and confirm the tests pass in the spark42 UT CI.
