Closing as not planned, with #13100. On a closer look the guard is not actually inverted: it already rejects GlutenShuffleManager and all its supertypes, which covers every reachable input. The only thing it lets through is a subclass of GlutenShuffleManager, and no backend registers one (there is no such subclass in the tree), so there is no reachable recursion to guard against. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
