`docs/backends/velox/developers/velox-backend-docker-images.md`, which covers:
- **Every published tag:** its Dockerfile, architectures, compressed size
per architecture (from Docker Hub, 2026-10-18 build), the workflows and docs
that use it, and a Docker Hub link. Five tags are unused by any workflow, and
the page says so: `vcpkg-centos-8-gcc13`, `centos-8-jdk11`, `centos-9-jdk11`,
`centos-9-jdk17-cuda12.9-cudf` and `ubuntu22-m2-cache`.

- **What each family contains:**
- the base OS, compiler and `JAVA_HOME`;
- the vcpkg binary cache in `/var/cache/vcpkg`;
- Arrow;

- Celeborn, Uniffle and Hadoop tarballs;
- `/root/.m2`;
- CUDA versions.
- **How images are published:**
- weekly on Sundays at 20:00 UTC, and on push to `main` for the watched
paths;
- always rebuilt from `main`;
- multi-arch tags are built per architecture, pushed by digest, then
merged;
- Docker Hub secrets mean only `apache/*` can publish;
- if one architecture fails, the tag keeps its previous image;
- tags move, so pin by digest to reproduce an environment, as the Iceberg
harness does;
- which older tags are no longer rebuilt.
- **Building an image locally:** from the repo root with BuildKit, using
`GLUTEN_REPO`/`GLUTEN_BRANCH` to build from another branch.
The "Docker Build" section of `velox-backend-CI.md` now links to the new
page instead of keeping its own table.
#13422 adds three runtime images and also edits that table; I'll move its
rows into the new page if this merges first.
## How was this patch tested?
Docs only.
- Tags, architectures and sizes come from the Docker Hub API.
- Usage comes from grepping `.github/workflows`, `baseline.py`, `docs` and
`.devcontainer` for each tag.
- Contents were checked against each Dockerfile.
- All relative links resolve to existing pages.
