mchades opened a new pull request, #14743:
URL: https://github.com/apache/gravitino/pull/14743

   ### What changes were proposed in this pull request?

Normalize the object and each ancestor in effective-tag lookups with
`CapabilityHelpers.normalizeMetadataIdentifier`, covering both single-object
and batch policy queries. Batch reads deduplicate normalized objects while
preserving the original request keys and contributing sources.

   ### Why are the changes needed?

Catalog existence checks can accept an equivalent name such as
`catalog.ANALYTICS.ORDERS`, but policy inheritance reads use the original
spelling to look up stored tag relations and fail with not found.

   Fixes #14719

   ### Does this PR introduce _any_ user-facing change?

Policy lookups follow the catalog's naming and physical-table resolution
rules. Quoted names, exact stored column names, Semantic Model names, and
nearest-assignment override semantics are preserved. No API or storage-schema
changes.

   ### How was this patch tested?

   - All 111 targeted cases passed in `:core:coreUnitTest`:
`TestEffectiveTagResolver`, `TestPolicyManager`, `TestObjectPolicyResolver`,
`TestTagManager`, `TestCapabilityHelpers`, and `TestMetadataObjectUtil`.
   - With the old resolver, the regression tests produce 21 failures. Coverage
includes H2-backed policy reads, equivalent batch keys, hierarchical ancestors,
custom/quoted names, physical table names, exact columns, Semantic Models,
overrides, disabled policies, and resolution failures.
   - `:core:spotlessCheck`, `:core:javadoc`, and `git diff --check` passed.
Live connector and Docker integration tests were not run.
