Hi Kevin, There is no plan to make collector thread-safe in near future, since we expect topology developers would handle the concurrent issues if they create more threads by their own. Alternatively, got any thoughts on doing HTTP posts without this? We have higher level framework summingbird ( https://github.com/twitter/summingbird/) providing the feature you want, and it achieves this feature by: 1. Maintain a thread-safe queue to keep the results of http posts request. 2. Create a bounded thread-pool: each thread will do the actual post request and put the results into the thread-safe queue mentioned above. 3. Add the tick-frequency for the final bolt and bind with actual work on the thread-safe result queue. Then the results can be handled in main thread. Hope it helps. 2016-12-06 4:52 GMT+08:00 Kevin Chen <[email protected]>: > Are there any plans to do this in the near future? Alternatively, got any > thoughts on doing HTTP posts without this?
