Two questions for the people in this thread:
1) Are people happy with the approach taken in the PR at
https://github.com/apache/netbeans/pull/1246, with respect to displaying the
version number on the splash screen? The version string is the same as is shown
in the "About" dialog, e.g. "Apache NetBeans IDE 11.0 (Build
20190601-0499877ef874)".
2) Would you like me to email David Schulz (the graphic designer who made the
previous splash screen) and see if he'd like to make an updated one? (In HiDPI,
with a bigger NetBeans logo, and making room for the version string, while
keeping the general branding theme that he designed for the website, welcome
screen etc.)
