Eric Bresie commented on NETBEANS-2842: --------------------------------------- Where would unpack type of logic be? In netbeans\platform\autoupdate.services\libsrc\org\netbeans\updater\ModuleUpdater.java I find a findUnpack200Executable method which seems to basically look for the java bin folder where this would be and execute it. I'm assuming it's not as simple as having referencing the commons-compress in a similar way? unpack200 which finds using the above then Or would this require changing the logic where the unpack occurs internally and make calls to the common-compress API? > Using of deprecated pack200 tool in nbm packaging > ------------------------------------------------- > > Key: NETBEANS-2842 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/NETBEANS-2842 > Project: NetBeans > Issue Type: Bug > Components: platform - Plugin Manager > Affects Versions: 11.3 > Reporter: Benjamin Graf > Priority: Critical > > Netbeans plugins are mostly compressed in size by the JDK internal pack200 > tool which is deprecated since JDK 11 ([https://openjdk.java.net/jeps/336]). > It should be thought about an alternative as it might get removed in next JDK > releases. -- This message was sent by Atlassian Jira (v8.3.4#803005) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: commits-unsubscr...@netbeans.apache.org For additional commands, e-mail: commits-h...@netbeans.apache.org For further information about the NetBeans mailing lists, visit: https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/NETBEANS/Mailing+lists
