Arghh!
Need help. Moving as proposed (meaning to before {{getModuleSystem()}} in the 
main startup sequence) gives me the problem that at that time service 
registrations from modules are not yet known. And we want ProxySelector and 
Authenticator to be (potentially) provided by a module.

Ideally initialization and registration of the two network components should go 
+_before_+ all the module installers ({{#restore()}}) methods are executed and 
{{@OnStart}} are executed, but +_after_+ services has been registered in the 
global lookup.
