Keeping the non precision one 1/1 dB might not be a bad idea. It is less confusing, because the user does not need to remember the 1/100 step rule. If the user only cares about normal precision, it creates a cleaner code. and yes it is possible to add the extra precision one. However i dont see the use? Can be done at a later stage if there is demand. I understand your issue where two fractionals round to the same number. But is it possible to select either one anyway?
