We try to keep the same numbering from Reference/User Manual (i.e. I2C1, I2C2, SPI1, SPI2, instead of using I2C0, I2C1, etc). It is a way to avoid mistakes when users try to select an peripheral and end up selecting other That's a good idea, indeed. I'll add this to our backlog, as it'd require an extensive testing effort.
