That is not totally true, it is better if the original author submit the PR to NuttX mainline, since he/she implemented it he will know about it and could answer better the requests from the reviewers. Imagine you getting the NxInit (that you want to use, although initially you criticize it because thought it was big because the Android Init originally in the name of it), you should have more difficulties to submit it to NuttX mainline than the original author. We know that will not happen, do you see people bring contributions from PX4 to NuttX mainline?
