There's also the "Development Workflow" section that is closer to the intended workflow that should be followed by contributors. I think that brief document is good to have until the final workflow is defined. It mostly reflects what is already being done and don't want contributors to forget (check style, check license, etc.). I agree that a short version is better for newcomers, we talked about this before. I was inclined to extract it from the development workflow. The git/github part is pretty complete. I just wanted to note that we have some duplication here, with somewhat different workflow.
