I think the automated CMake coverage report is a good first step. It would give us an objective way to track the gap between Make and CMake and make it easier to prioritize the missing architectures, boards, and applications. I’d be interested in working on a small prototype that compares the existing Make metadata against the available CMake paths and produces a report of the missing coverage.
