   IMO binary blobs are ok (but not perfect), HAL is not. 
   Community can't modify blob code (because there is no code), but community 
can modify HAL code. No one in the community ever claimed we should abandon 
binary blobs (like with the ESP ble/wifi radio or nordic ble radio); the 
problem was always HAL (code).
