casaroli opened a new pull request, #20985:
URL: https://github.com/apache/nuttx/pull/20985

   ## Summary

The nuttx-apps PR "system/nxinit: Skip comment lines in init.rc." makes
NXInit skip a line whose first character that is not whitespace is `#`. This PR
documents it. It goes with that apps PR.

The page also said that the content of `init.rc` "is processed by a
preprocessor, following C language specifications for escape rules and comment
formats". That is true only for a board `init.rc` in `RCSRCS`, which goes
through the C preprocessor when the board ROMFS image is built. NXInit itself
does not preprocess the file that it reads at run time. The new text says both:
a `#` line is a comment, and a board `init.rc` in `RCSRCS` can use `#include`,
`#ifdef` and C comments, because there a line that starts with `#` is a
preprocessor directive.

   ## Impact

   Documentation only (`Documentation/applications/system/nxinit/index.rst`).

   ## Testing

   `tools/checkpatch.sh -c -u -m -g` passes. The text matches the apps change:
on qemu-armv8a:knsh, NXInit with that change runs an `init.rc` that has `#`
lines before, inside and after an action.
