Board Report 2013-01Page added by Tammo van LessenApache ODEApache ODE (Orchestration Director Engine) executes business processes written following the WS-BPEL standard. It talks to web services, sending and receiving messages, handling data manipulation and error recovery as described by your process definition. It supports both long and short living process executions to orchestrate all the services that are part of your application. StatusThis was again a quiet development period. We still have some development items on our agenda, e.g. the OModel refactoring, backporting features from our experimental branch. We decided to keep the 1.3.x branch as a stable branch and to address the root of the backwards compatibility issues in trunk, which is supposed to become ODE 2.0 then. Once this is stabilized, we will focus on providing a migration tool for process instances from 1.3.x to 2.0. ReleaseNo release to report in this quarter. DevelopmentNo significant development progress to report. We have migrated the Confluence-powered website to the ASF CMS. CommunityWe had some very interesting discussions about a potential collaboration at ACEU. As a result, we now have a new committer, Hadrian Zbarcea, who is now climbing down to the engine room, cleaning up our virtual processing unit. We have also voted Sathwik Bantwal Premakumar to be a committer. He provided a lot of great patches. Project Branding Board Report ChecklistWe move to the ASF CMS and also to a new template that should now comply with the branding requirements.
