David Blevins commented on TOMEE-648:
-------------------------------------

Wow, this is really cool. Fully agree on the stronger yet still light feline
shape. And I have to admin I love the straight ahead running. I can see some
fun slogans coming out of that like "try and catch up", "Get running", "light
speed", "runs... fast", "fast and light", "light on its feet" or various things
like that.

> Hi,
> I would like to submit my logo proposal.
> Since TomEE is an entreprise stack largely built around the Tomcat server, I
> decided to upgrade the well-known cat logo to a more "versatile" feline
> shape. Usually entreprise editions come with more upgrades and tools than the
> community packages, so the logo needed to reflect more profesionalism,
> versatility and mainly more power.
> Everything used to create the logo is open sourced itself, so no licensing
> problems should arise in the future.
> The used font is Orbitron, and it's even in Google's Web Font service, so you
> can easily use it for the Web page without complicated Cufon files:
> The logo has been created in PHotoshop CS 6 with vector shapes. So it can
> easily be ported to Illustrator as well. All layers are organized in groups
> and are labeled properly. Rendering color variations is also extremely easy
> since it relies on a Hue/Saturation mask.
> Thank you,
> Catalin Cimpanu
