Sebastian Wagner commented on OPENMEETINGS-2276:
------------------------------------------------

Well afaik it is not used in 5.0.0 and I think remote control has always been a
side feature and hardly in use. It is neat. But prob not required. Even in
other Conference solutions, remote control: I mean realistically our remote
control is not a replacement for a "Remote Desktop Experience". And the amount
of effort required to implement that, we prob will never be competitive in that
sector to other products.

How about I put it up for a discussion in the Mailing list of Remote Control is
a feature we accept loosing (until Browser can support it) ?

If one day browsers support remote control we include and re-evaluate it.

> Remove red5 references in pom and red5 components no more used

> As far as I can see there is no need to use red5 server or client components
> anymore.
> It should be possible to:
> # Remove openmeetings-screenshare
> # Cleanup openmeetings-server directory from it
> # Some of the log files have rules from red5 logging
> Needs some comments from [~solomax] if that is the right time to remove yet.
