The text embedding section of the machine learning chapter describes opennlp-dl as the default provider because it is the one provider in the default distribution. The binary distribution does not include the opennlp-dl or opennlp-dl-gpu jars, and opennlp-tools does not depend on them. Only the opennlp-dl API docs are bundled. A reader following the manual gets no onnx provider unless they add one of those jars themselves.
