A zero or negative max limit makes endIndex collapse onto or below beginIndex, so keyList.get(endIndex - 1) throws ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException (or the subMap call throws for an inverted range); a negative seq indexes the key list negatively; and a dataVersion that is not valid JSON throws fastjson's JSONException instead of degrading to a full sync page. Clamp the seq to zero, skip the slice for non-positive limits (an empty page), and treat an unparseable data version as an unknown version that falls back to a full page from index 0.
