Glen Mazza commented on ROL-1939:
---------------------------------

JBoss 4.0 uses Tomcat 5.5 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/JBoss#Versions) which
uses version 2.4 of the servlet spec
(http://tomcat.apache.org/whichversion.html). Roller 4.0 uses 2.4
(http://svn.apache.org/viewvc/roller/branches/roller_4.0/apps/weblogger/web/WEB-INF/web.xml?view=co),
which makes this an option for you. However, due to this security issue:
rollerweblogger.org/project/entry/roller_501_security_fix using versions prior
to 5.0.1 wouldn't be recommended. You may need to evaluate other software
blogging tools instead.

> Hi,
> I am new to Roller blogging, I am currently working on Jboss 4.0 and Apache
> 2.2 and I have a constrain for updating both app and web server from the
> client side. Could you please assist me in selecting the right version of
> Roller for the above configuration, as blogging will increase the customer
> interaction with the web.
> I tried running the war file provided by Roller, but it requires version 2.5
> of the J2EE Web module specification for the war file to execute.
