Glen Mazza commented on ROL-2002:
---------------------------------
Greg, we require -- always have -- an email address. There's nothing wrong with
that, as everyone has one. It's just the URL that needs to be optional. While
not conclusive, the email address is nonetheless a helpful determinant of
whether it is incoming spam, or if the "Bob" who posts a comment is the same
"Bob" who normally posts comments, or a different one, allowing me to respond
accordingly. I'm sure comment spam filters also take its value into account.
We have to continue requiring it.
