Resolution: Not a Problem
Hi, thanks for evaluating Roller. I changed the text above the preview option
to state that this feature is just for evaluating the main front page of the
weblog, so I fixed the bug indirectly by no longer implying the missing
functionality is part of something that Roller offers.
None of the buttons on the webpage generated by the preview button (including
"view mobile") are meant to be operative, it's just a sanity check of the main
template (the main front page), not a full reproduction of every possible page
offered by the theme. If the main view looks good enough, users can switch to
it and continue their testing of the other pages (search, archives, and in this
case, mobile), and if they then like it, they can then stay with it, if not,
they can revert back to their previous theme. So it was meant to give you a
rough idea of what the template looks like prior to you choosing it and then
testing it, not be a full test bed prior to you accepting it. The latter would
carry an high opportunity cost, we have more critical things to use that time
on.
If users don't wish to have their production blog using that theme while
they're testing it, they can create an extra dummy blog with a few sample
entries instead and test the theme that way.

> Components: Themes and Macros, User Interface - General
> Environment: Tomcat 7.0.55 installed on Ubuntu 12.04 with MySQL 5.1
> Reporter: dongxu
> Assignee: Roller Unassigned
>
> After we navigate to the design tab of setting when logging in, we can choose
> the 'basic mobile' for theme. Then we preview the mobile theme and click the
> 'View Mobile Weblog', this complain would take place, with complaining that
> "Sorry! We couldn't find your document".
> [USER SOLUTION]: If you want to go back to normal, you have to remove the
> cookie key "roller_user_request_type" under roller domain in your browser.
> However, we have to say it is a bug.
