Prateek Maheshwari commented on SAMZA-965: ------------------------------------------ This usually happens when another container running on the same host processing the same partitions (usually an "orphaned container" from a previous deploy) is still holding the file lock. This should be less common now since ContainerHeartbeatMonitor shuts such containers down after some time. > Occasional error opening RocksDB store > -------------------------------------- > > Key: SAMZA-965 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/SAMZA-965 > Project: Samza > Issue Type: Bug > Reporter: Jake Maes > Priority: Major > > org.apache.samza.SamzaException: Error opening RocksDB store member-settings > at location /storeDir/jobName-jobId/storeName/Partition_95, received the > following exception from RocksDB org.rocksdb.RocksDBException: IO error: lock > /storeDir/jobName-jobId/storeName/Partition_95/LOCK: Resource temporarily > unavailable > at > org.apache.samza.storage.kv.RocksDbKeyValueStore$.openDB(RocksDbKeyValueStore.scala:86) > at > org.apache.samza.storage.kv.RocksDbKeyValueStore.db$lzycompute(RocksDbKeyValueStore.scala:108) > at > org.apache.samza.storage.kv.RocksDbKeyValueStore.db(RocksDbKeyValueStore.scala:108) > at > org.apache.samza.storage.kv.RocksDbKeyValueStore.putAll(RocksDbKeyValueStore.scala:162) > at > org.apache.samza.storage.kv.KeyValueStorageEngine.restore(KeyValueStorageEngine.scala:114) > at > org.apache.samza.storage.TaskStorageManager$$anonfun$restoreStores$3.apply(TaskStorageManager.scala:182) > at > org.apache.samza.storage.TaskStorageManager$$anonfun$restoreStores$3.apply(TaskStorageManager.scala:176) > at > scala.collection.TraversableLike$WithFilter$$anonfun$foreach$1.apply(TraversableLike.scala:772) > at > scala.collection.immutable.HashMap$HashMap1.foreach(HashMap.scala:224) > at > scala.collection.immutable.HashMap$HashTrieMap.foreach(HashMap.scala:403) > at > scala.collection.TraversableLike$WithFilter.foreach(TraversableLike.scala:771) > at > org.apache.samza.storage.TaskStorageManager.restoreStores(TaskStorageManager.scala:176) > at > org.apache.samza.storage.TaskStorageManager.init(TaskStorageManager.scala:70) > at > org.apache.samza.container.TaskInstance.startStores(TaskInstance.scala:99) > at > org.apache.samza.container.SamzaContainer$$anonfun$startStores$2.apply(SamzaContainer.scala:664) > at > org.apache.samza.container.SamzaContainer$$anonfun$startStores$2.apply(SamzaContainer.scala:662) > at scala.collection.Iterator$class.foreach(Iterator.scala:727) > at scala.collection.AbstractIterator.foreach(Iterator.scala:1157) > at > scala.collection.MapLike$DefaultValuesIterable.foreach(MapLike.scala:206) > at > org.apache.samza.container.SamzaContainer.startStores(SamzaContainer.scala:662) > at > org.apache.samza.container.SamzaContainer.run(SamzaContainer.scala:575) > at > org.apache.samza.container.SamzaContainer$.safeMain(SamzaContainer.scala:97) > at > org.apache.samza.container.SamzaContainer$.main(SamzaContainer.scala:71) > at org.apache.samza.container.SamzaContainer.main(SamzaContainer.scala) > A quick search didn't turn up any rocksdb fixes. -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.3#76005)
