Martin Kleppmann commented on SAMZA-7:
--------------------------------------

I have been working on revamping the docs. I'm not done yet, but I wanted to
share some initial progress: https://reviews.apache.org/r/21866/

The pages on API overview, SamzaContainer and Streams should now be up-to-date
with reality. I've also heavily edited the text, trying to make it flow more
logically. Other pages have seen minor edits. There are still remaining
references to TaskRunner & co which I'm planning to weed out.

I've also added a new page on serdes, which previously weren't really covered
anywhere. (There was a sidenote on serdes in the page on streams, but I wanted
to get rid of the sidenote, because it really didn't belong there. So it turned
into a new page.)

I'll update the RB as I continue editing the remaining pages (the Checkpointing
and State Management pages are next) but if anyone wants to start reading
what's there so far, that would be most welcome.

> The website docs refer to TaskRunner, StreamConsumer, etc. These classes have
> been refactored to SamzaContainer, SystemConsumer, etc. We should go through
> and update the docs to make sure they reflect reality.
