Neha Narkhede commented on SAMZA-224:
-------------------------------------
[~criccomini] Regarding #3, it would be possible to do for an embedded broker,
but not for a standalone broker process. Kafka doesn't have a mechanism to
detect if a broker is up by sending a dummy request or a
zookeeper-4-letter-command equivalent.
> TestStatefulTask.testShouldStartAndRestore fails intermittently

> [~closeuris] reported the following issue on SAMZA-185. I'm now
> intermittently seeing this problem too, so I'm opening a new issue for it (as
> I'm not sure the issue has anything to do with the Kafka 0.8.1 upgrade).
