Thanks for linking PR #11171. I checked the current issue scope against the PR summary, and this is still the right first delivery boundary for this thread: - explicit Oracle-owned SCN startup config - mapping that SCN into the existing redo-log offset path - fail-fast validation for invalid or incompatible input - restore coverage so the startup position does not silently degrade after checkpoint recovery So this issue should keep tracking the feature request itself, while the implementation discussion can now continue mainly in PR #11171.
