Hi @nzw921rx you're absolutely right, the repeated scope narrowing on this
PR is a clear
sign that multi-version Debezium support needs a proper design discussion
before implementation.
We could put together a design document listing the concrete problems
(patched TableId, shared EmbeddedDatabaseHistory, connector-cdc-base Debezium
imports, classloader isolation, checkpoint format compatibility) and propose
solutions for each.
In the meantime, this PR in its current form is intentionally minimal, just
per-connector version markers and an experimental SPI contract with no runtime
impact
