Confirmed — thanks for the recap, and nice work tracking both failures back to the same root cause. To close the loop for anyone reading later: the fix (dropping `warmUpKafkaTopics` from `KafkaIT.startUp()` while keeping the read-only `waitForKafkaTopicsReady` leader check) is correct, `kafka-connector-it (8)` is green on head `22405c9e0`, and I've already approved this head.
