Thanks @DanielLeens for the incredibly thorough review and for independently tracing the `ConfigValidator`/`FactoryUtil` call chain — glad the `notBlank` approach holds up. You're right about Issue 1 (CRLF). The four files were saved with Windows line endings; I'm pushing LF-converted versions now via the contents API (normal commits, no force-push).
