Hi @DanielLeens @davidzollo @zhangshenghang, Following up on this PR: the underlying issue (#11949) was addressed and merged into `dev` via #11951 (`1a8c637e`), which introduced the same `Locale.ROOT` case-conversion fix and a corresponding test in `StringFunctionTest.java`. Because both PRs added tests at the same location, this PR is currently showing merge conflicts against `dev`. Since the fix is already present on `dev`, please review and advise if this PR can be closed as superseded by #11951, or if you would like the branch rebased/synced with `dev`.
