One API semantic worth making explicit in the rule/tests: `counts.failed` is incremented for both `FAILED` and `CANCELED` history entries (`onCheckpointFailed` maps `CHECKPOINT_COORDINATOR_COMPLETED` to `CANCELED`). If the CLI reports “checkpoint failure” from that counter alone, normal coordinator shutdown/cancellation can be misclassified as a data-path failure; inspect `latestFailed.status` and the history status as well. Also, `inProgress` exposes only aggregate `acknowledged` and `total` counts. It can identify a barrier that is waiting, but not the specific subtask or stage. The output should state that limitation instead of attributing the stall to a component without another endpoint. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
