Hi,
having it in the parent POM is the cleanest way IMHO. It just adds extra
complexity if you say that some components can be build with Maven 2 and other
with Maven 3. Let's just go with Maven 3. From what I see on the dev list this
change did not make any problems.
Just remove the prerequisites from other POMs than the parent.
