I removed my "patch" cleared the cache (via Ctrl + F5) and was not able to
reproduce the bug after that.
Embarassing ... I have spent some hours on this. Hereafter clearing the
cache will ALWAYS be among the
the things to do when chasing strange browser related bugs.
