Jonathan Gallimore commented on TOMEE-2505:
-------------------------------------------
We've updated to 1.2.2 already:
[https://github.com/apache/tomee/tree/master/tomee/apache-tomee/src/main/resources]
DAEMON-410 looks related to Linux (we don't provide Linux binaries for
commons-daemon at present, you can run TomEE with systemd without
commons-daemon:
[http://tomee.apache.org/tomee-8.0/docs/deamon/lin-service.html]). Looks like
DAEMON-398 is already being looked at, and we can update when a fix is ready.
I'm happy to add my eyes to DAEMON-398 when I get a chance.

> There are a number of Java 11 related bugs open against Commons Daemon.
> Noteably:
> [DAEMON-396 LibraryPath is broken for Java
> 11|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DAEMON-396]
> [DAEMON-398 Java 11 jvm.dll startup error messages not available on
> stdout/stderr|https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DAEMON-398]
> Fixing this depends on there being a new Commons Daemon release
> {quote}
> And TomEE depends on the new Tomcat 9 release of course.
