Note: I have reverted these changes with https://github.com/apache/tomee/commit/d707520bbbe28391f9285fb81207e4175ac99d31 as they lead to deadlocks similar to https://github.com/apache/tomee/commit/b7c2145835e73a72d258b1b9eca36ab3e1638d00 in the whole build process.
