I was thinking it was cloud pickle reloading the main module, but I took off the `__name__ == "__main__"` lines and it performs the same. `__name__ == "__main__"` is still required for non-linux machines (i.e. the tutorials are buggy on non linux machines), but it isn't causing the issue here. The only difference I can see then is that your machine has so many threads.
