I'm not sure if we should go through this code path. First of all, the possibility of tracking span during deep optimizations is minimal, and I am not aware of a mature solution that is functioning and maintainable at the same time; Second, I am not sure if works well with existing infra, for example, error reporting in the BlockBuilder.
