The root cause is the bug in Java 8. It effects Wicket since WICKET-5997 where 
we switched to loading initializers via the ServiceLoader API.

Wicket 8 *requires* Java 8 at minimum, but it isn't *for* Java 8 - this version 
is no longer supported since 2019:
