The CI job on `wicket-10.x` installs `chromium-browser` next to Chrome's shared libraries. On Ubuntu 24.04 that package is a stub that installs Chromium as a snap, and the snap install fails now and then on the runners, which fails the job before Maven starts. #1702 hit this on its Java 21 leg, which cancelled the other two. Puppeteer downloads its own Chrome, so the snap was never used. The step is now the one master has had since 615af3ee95: `apt-get update`, then only the libraries and fonts headless Chrome needs, with `--no-install-recommends`. Puppeteer on this branch is 24.41, the same major version as master's, for which that list is already in use. `.github/workflows/maven.yml` is the only file changed.
